TALES
Sophie is 16 months old, her other human family members are Libbie (9 years old), Lacey (5 years old).
Sophie also has 3 cats that she loves a chance to play with. Sophie readily adapted to her life as the greeter in Cottage Grove’s pet store. She doesn't jump, bark, or run through the door when "her" customers come in. Sophie, however, has been known to steal a child's snack if they carry it into the store. The cutest thing Sophie does is when she sees the family after a long day at work in the pet store, or if they surprise her and come and visit her at work, she "talks." Sophie’s so excited that she makes sounds as if she's trying to say, "You're here! I'm so glad you came. I've missed you." She will run around and chit chat for a few minutes before settling down. TIPS
Laura Tryon’s pet tip, "When you are looking for a dog, research, research, research what breed is right for you. Consider: -Size; How big will she get? Is there a size restriction on dogs where you live? All dogs need a safe area to run. -Coat; High maintenance verses low maintenance coats. Do you like long hair, short hair, fine hair, course hair, do you have someone in your home who has allergies? Who will take the time to groom your new pet family member? -Potential Health Problems; Some breeds have inherent health problems (such as breathing problems in pug-faced dogs and a lot of dogs have hip issues.) -Need for exercise. -Temperament. -Who is going to be the primary care giver of your new dog? -Take time researching your family's needs first and you will find a GREAT four-legged addition to your family."
