The author of THE SECRET is on Oprah, Thursday February 8th. Set your VCR's now.
Having viewed the movie, THE SECRET once, (Atira has seen it every night since November) note that it is indeed mind altering, and life changing.
You will never look at your life the same way!
The Secret, is a ground-breaking feature-length movie (and bestselling book) that reveals the secret to unlimited joy, health, money, relationships, love, and youth...everything you have ever wanted.
Your blessings will multiply, miracles will follow, and your life will take on the same magical role, as many of ours.
Following is a story about how Gigi's dream to sing at Carnegie, came true.
(Gigi has read Angel Scribe newsletters for eleven years, and adopted one of the Christmas Pomeranian pups, that desperately needed homes, a few years ago.)

You've heard the question, "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"
What follows is true, I lived it!
Everyone wants to live a life of Magic. Everybody wants miracles.
But, living a life of Magic, doesn't necessarily mean that life will be easy, or that you don't have to "do" anything, for Magic to rain down on you.
You have to ready yourself for the Universe to give you what you want. Be open, and be ready for ANYTHING!
I read Marta Monahan's book, The Courage to be Brilliant, www.martamonahan.com and watched the movie, The Secret!
All my life, I have been open to Magic happening.
But, after seeing what they had to say, this time, everything in my life became different. I felt a shift, in and around me, and felt something BIG coming.
On January 11 - 1/11, my husband and I looked at the clock, and it was 11:11.
We've read Mary Ellen's article on the triple numbers, and now when we see 11:11 or 1:11, we smile and exclaim, "ANGELS!"
We have a tradition of saying, 'Thank you, thank you, thank you,' until the clock moves its minute hand!
This night was no different. We danced around with gleeful abandon, arms open wide, to receive the Angels' blessings!
I am an opera and concert singer, and work steadily.
But, as you know, artists are always hoping for a 'big break.'
The next evening, at 8:30 p.m., my manager in New York, phoned with just that!
"There is a sick mezzo-soprano, Ingeborg Danz, who arrived from Germany."
"She was to sing a huge piece in Carnegie Hall (Bach St. Matthew Passion), with one of the worlds most famous conductors and authorities on Bach (Helmut Rilling), and one of the country's finest orchestras (Orchestra of St. Lukes)."
"I have a funny question to ask. Are you available for rehearsal tomorrow morning, at Carnegie Hall, and perhaps perform that evening, if she doesn't recover?"
I instantly responded, "YES!"
So, my husband and I woke up at 5:30 a.m., and drove the 3-1/2 hours to New York City.
The night before, they had their dress rehearsal, and the 10:30 a.m. rehearsal, was scheduled as a cleanup rehearsal.
I arrived a few minutes before, and rehearsed with the orchestra on stage, the mezzo's five arias, four recitatives and one duet - all uncut with all da capos.
Afterwards, I had a piano rehearsal, with the Maestro in his suite. Then, I went back to the hotel to rest.
I was very tired. I figured my work was done, for the day, and that Ms. Danz would recover, and make her Carnegie Hall debut.
My main objective for taking this risk, was for the chance to be heard by a great man, as much as hoping to be the hero, by PERHAPS singing that night.
The conductor, and other soloists, mentioned that he liked me, and no matter what happened that evening, they would definitely see me again for another engagement!
I figured, mission accomplished.
After a brief nap, I woke up and readied myself to attend the concert. I had to be there no matter what, in case Ms. Danz couldn't finish the three hour performance.
At 5:20 p.m. Carnegie called, "We have just spoken with Ms. Danz. She cannot sing. You are to go on stage at 7:00 p.m."
It would take a great deal of concentration to perform, on very little sleep. I knew what a chance I was taking...and was sure I could do it. And did!
At one point, during the performance, I looked out into the audience, and thought how beautiful and serene they all looked.
The choir was singing one of the many gorgeous choral pieces in the work, and I smiled and thought, "Helmut Rilling, Carnegie Hall, the Orchestra of St Lukes...it just doesn't get any better than this!"
It was joyful to sing with Maestro Rilling, and although I have sung at Carnegie Hall, with other groups before, the difference this time was that I was called to perform with Carnegie Hall, as the presenter.
EVERYONE pulled for my success - the chorus, orchestra and soloist colleagues.
The soloists were professional singers, mostly from Germany.
The chorus was a handpicked group of choral directors, singers and conductors from all over the country, who had come to study this great work with Helmut Rilling. They sounded amazing!
This monumental work tells the Crucifixion Story, and is one of the most spiritual works I have ever been involved in, but this particular performance was truly Magical.
We had four curtain calls, and when we came offstage, Carnegie's Artistic Administrator mentioned that I was currently in my 25th hour, of this little adventure, since their phone call!
As the chorus members came off stage, and filed passed me, they said some amazing and sweet things to me. Many of the members of the Orchestra of St Lukes also congratulated me, with lovely, complimentary words.
In fact, from the moment I stepped on stage to rehearse that morning, I felt supported by everything and everyone.
I felt safe, and in the keeping of the Universe. It was a beautiful and spiritual experience.
The conductor hardly had to do anything, in order for me to feel his spirit, and his energy.
So there it is. The answer to a prayer, for a dream to come true!
The next time, when you think to yourself, "I cannot dare to dream such a thing"... you must remember, "you cannot dare NOT to!"
Gigi's Carnegie Reviews
A Dallas mezzo with the nifty name of Gigi Mitchell-Velasco, was a last-minute replacement, and she did a fabulous job.
She owns a beautiful, arresting, and moving voice, and if she seemed a tad underpowered at times, that mattered little.
-Jay Nordlinger, New York Sun
Gigi Mitchell-Velasco, replacing an indisposed mezzo-soprano on less than a day's notice, sang the alto arias, some of the works most glorious movements.
She seemed understandably cautious and uncertain at the start, but she worked up to a distinguished account of the famous alto number in Part 2, "Erbarme dich."
